If there is one thing I can say for certain, this couple RADIATES.

They radiate love, joy, passion, and positivity in their most authentic selves. The saying “your vibe attracts your tribe” is a something i truly believe and I am so honored to consider myself part of this couples tribe now. I had an amazing experience getting to know Hannah in the time leading up to their wedding. When Hannah came to me and asked if I would be their wedding photographer, she couldn’t stress enough how she desired a relaxing, candid, and casual day. I was honored to oblige.

Snow Day

I have a very strong love-hate relationship with winter in the PNW.  Just when you think spring is near, winter: round 2 shows up.  You would think after all these years I wouldn't be surprised, but yet, here I am like :0

I ran across the most fitting meme on Facebook the other day (credit to jillagaintravels)

Despite my fair whether feelings for the weather, my boys love the snow!  And as a mom photog what do I do?  Grab my camera of course...

They are the cutest btw, and yes, I'm 100 percent bias :)
 

affirmation

As humans we are constantly in search of approval and affirmation.  As an artist and a photographer that is certainly no different.  There are times when I create for me; for my taste, my ideas, and straight from my experiences.  Other times, I'm creating for you, the client.  We work together to bring an idea, an image to life.  And there are other times when you are creating for your peers. I have moments where I get caught up in my Instagram feed, full of other photographers work, and thoughts of doubt sneak in.  So why do I follow them right?  I gain so much knowledge, inspiration and encouragement from my peers that any tiny bit of self insecurity is 100 percent worth the community that exists in my profession.  This was an especially proud day for me.  I submitted my photo in a cover photo contest and was chosen!  You guys!  This is a group of over a thousand like minded professionals and my picture was chosen!  I don't often put myself out there like that, but what an affirmation to know that I am right on track.  I am constantly learning and growing as a person and as an artist.  And this is exactly the little boost I needed to kick of 2018 and make it my best year yet!  Thank you all for your love and support as I continue this journey <3
